Welcome to the Bushkill Chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA). The chapter is dedicated to promoting, fostering and improving the versatile hunting dog breeds in the area surrounding southeastern Pennsylvania. Underlying this focus is the desire to help the hunter train their dog to work before and after the shot, on land and in water.
In accordance with our mandate and the wishes of our member the Chapter holds bi-weekly evening training clinics and monthly training days throughout the year but primarily outside the hunting seasons. In addition, the chapter hosts NAVHDA sanctioned Natural Ability, Utility Preparatory and Utility Tests. Our membership is composed of a mix of experienced and novice handlers; who by working together and following the NAVHDA training protocol, strive to improve the social and hunting skills of their dogs. We also conduct social events for our enjoyment and the enjoyment of our friends.
The chapter operates under the premise that we will help you train your dog, if you will help us train our dog. If you would like to join the chapter or attend one of the meetings please visit our schedule of events page or contact us through our online form.

MISSION OF NAVHDA
The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America; to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot; and to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging nonselective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared-for dogs.
