What We're About...

In accordance with our mandate and the wishes of our member the Chapter holds  monthly training days throughout the year but primarily outside the hunting seasons. In addition, the chapter hosts NAVHDA sanctioned Natural Ability, Utility Preparatory and Utility Tests. Our membership is composed of a mix of experienced and novice handlers; who by working together and following the NAVHDA training protocol, strive to improve the social and hunting skills of their dogs. We also conduct social events for our enjoyment and the enjoyment of our friends.

In Addition...

The chapter operates under the premise that we will help you train your dog, if you will help us train our dog. If you would like to join the chapter or attend one of the meetings please visit our 'join' or contact us page.

MISSION OF NAVHDA

The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America; to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot; and to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging non-selective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared-for dogs.
