Force Fetch Clinic with Jake Bartells

Join us for a hands-on force fetch clinic focused on building a solid, reliable foundation with your dog. This step matters. If it’s rushed or left incomplete, it can create problems as you move forward in any training or testing program.

Jake’s approach is simple: do it right the first time. He’ll help you understand how to set clear expectations, hold your dog accountable, and avoid the common mistakes that lead to setbacks later on.

Jake will help you identify issues, make corrections in real time, and guide you through proven techniques used by experienced trainers. Whether you’re just starting or need help getting unstuck, this clinic is built to meet you where you are.

You’ll leave with:
• A clear, step-by-step plan
• Practical solutions to your specific challenges
• More confidence in your training

Jake Bartells is based in Perkasie, PA, where he has been a NAVHDA Life Member and professional trainer for over 17 years. He serves as a NAVHDA Senior and Invitational Judge and has run dogs in 25 NAVHDA tests, with 6 for 6 Invitational passes.

In addition to NAVHDA, Jake has successfully competed in both UKC Field Trials and AKC Hunt Tests, earning multiple titles across venues. His experience extends well beyond testing, he has hunted in 27 states and one Canadian province, pursuing 14 upland species along with waterfowl.

One of his greatest highlights was training alongside his daughter, Brooke, as they prepared for and ran both the Utility Test and the Invitational in 2024. Brooke continues to train alongside him today.

Jake brings a practical, results-driven approach to training, combining real-world hunting experience with a deep understanding of versatile dog development.
